Monsoon-RDP Sunday: Sheets

Sheets. Man, what a weird thing this word made me think, at first!  You’d think that the first idea that would’ve come to mind is bed sheets…but no, my weird brain has to come up with sheets of New York City summer rain. I never thought that when I moved to New York City I’d be sent running for the nearest building because of the torrent of water coming from the sky pretty often! When I say torrent, I mean heavy, drenching to the bone, heavy, flood-like rain…quite often. I will say this: there was one time when I was inspired by people who were effected by…your guessed it: the rain. I went to see Troilus and Cressida at Shakespeare in the Park, and the actors continued on in the pouring rain as if nothing had happened. They had to be drenched down to their shoes, but you’d never know it by their acting. I was crazy inspired!

Where The Serenity of The Big Apple is…Part 1

In New York City it seems that nothing ever slows down; no breaks; no deep breaths; no true stillness…Since I last wrote to you I’ve been on a quest to find a zone to just let myself be…and enjoy the beauty of the city at the same time. After all, the hustle and bustle is certainly exciting, and I, for one, am loving calling New York home more and more each day. I’ve collected some fun bits of knowledge and neat corners of the city that one may not know about without the luxury of having spent much time here…and much exploration as well. I hope that these pictures help you to find peace and excitement (and maybe a chuckle or two) in the city…So, my fellow bloggers, I hope that you share the info and that I can help all the new New Yorkers who are eager to find their piece of the city to feel the sense of beauty and wonder that I am experiencing in so many ways…Keep scrolling up for new pictures! I loved catching these two in a moment! I know, I know, I hope they’re okay with having a picture online! If they’re not I can take it down…but I thought it was very cute and I love to catch people in moments of true love and honesty…it always seems to tell a wonderful story. 🙂
