Does Valentine’s Day Have You Like…Whaaaat? It’s Only Two Days Away????NOOOO!

Seriously. Where does the time go? I don’t know if you’re like me, but I found myself thinking the other day that I had yet to choose something or make something (and I definitely prefer to make something because it’s so personal and so much fun!) for my cute guy (who deserves it like nobody’s business) AND I WAS LEAVING ON FRIDAY (TODAY) TO GO SEE HIM SO I HAD BETTER FIGURE IT OUT BEFORE HE CAUGHT ME SNOOPING ON THE INTERNET STILL TRYING TO DO SO! I know, I know what you’re thinking…really? You left it to the last minute? Ummm…not really…Like many of you (I’m guessing) I was stumped about what special thing to do for him. You see, we don’t put value into buying expensive gifts for each other or going over the top on one particular day of the year. We’re loving to each other every day, but we figure that Valentine’s Day is still something to be acknowledged regardless. So really…it’s in the sweet things we do for each other that we find solace daily. But…I still like to do fun, cute things for him anyway to truly show my love for him. For those that have not yet figured out what it is they’re doing…or even forgotten that V-day is so close upon us (and they may need two day shipping)…check this out!

Here’s a link to a bit about some of the most WISHED for items…interesting, right? Maybe your mom, dad, brother, sister, significant other or your cat would love something you never thought they would…plus you can sign up for free 2-day shipping through amazon prime and get there pretty darn close to the big day!

The Savvy City and How To Get By

So…who’s ever been in financial trouble? Our generation seems to be plagued by a never ending circus of bills that pile up, one on top of the other; ever antagonizing you. Sound familiar? I’m definitely a victim of this…so recently I got fed up with the system and having very little control over my money. After all, I did work for it, right? So I figured it was about time that I took responsibility for my finances. So here goes: my very intelligent boyfriend told me about Capitol One 360 Savings…and after researching it…I decided to sign up…it has a .75% APY interest rate…so, for the first time…I’ll have the opportunity to see my savings really grow…We will see how it works out! There are no minimums and a much higher interest rate than my current situation…so I encourage anyone of my generation to take a look at solely online banks because you may be able to save a lot more via this option…but be sure and research it before doing anything!!!!!!

Where The Serenity of The Big Apple is…Part 1

In New York City it seems that nothing ever slows down; no breaks; no deep breaths; no true stillness…Since I last wrote to you I’ve been on a quest to find a zone to just let myself be…and enjoy the beauty of the city at the same time. After all, the hustle and bustle is certainly exciting, and I, for one, am loving calling New York home more and more each day. I’ve collected some fun bits of knowledge and neat corners of the city that one may not know about without the luxury of having spent much time here…and much exploration as well. I hope that these pictures help you to find peace and excitement (and maybe a chuckle or two) in the city…So, my fellow bloggers, I hope that you share the info and that I can help all the new New Yorkers who are eager to find their piece of the city to feel the sense of beauty and wonder that I am experiencing in so many ways…Keep scrolling up for new pictures! Always Thinking, Always Observing…

So, my lovely blog readers, I’ve been gone for a few days…and what a wonderful few days it has been! It has certainly been an adventure! I got to do an acting project, which meant I was taken away from this bloggin’ business for many hours as my presence was needed on set. I did have a fair amount of time to think, observe, and enjoy many different facets of life while I was there, though, and I just want to update you on the adventures that I’ve been having.

This first picture was taken early yesterday morning, at 6:20 am, while on the train…yes, people, performers do see the light of day in the morning! I was surprised, though. I thought I would be the only one on the long subway ride past Everybodyelseisstillsleepingville, but boy was I wrong. It turns out…this city certainly wakes up early! It got me thinking: where are all these people going so early in the morning? What are their jobs? It really put things into perspective for me. Many people make huge sacrifices in life to be successful…such as being at work at a very early hour…and they probably work many long hours as well. I’m really in this with everyone. It made me feel a sense of solidarity, but is that really the truth? Or is that feeling false? What do you think? Needless to say…my day was started off with this boost of energy that I wasn’t expecting to get from complete strangers…simply by them being in the same boat as me. Now that’s food for thought; gotta love New York City and it’s diverse, solidarity-loving crowd. I think I’ll stay. 🙂

A Cute Little Restaurant In The Middle Of A Forest

A Cute Little Restaurant In The Middle Of A Forest

Wouldn’t you love to eat here? This is the sweetest little restaurant in the middle of Fort Tryon Park in New York, and I swear, every time I walk by there is a wedding or a fancy event going on. Maybe…I will get married there one day. I certainly hope so!

There Are Many Humans In New York…

Beautiful Story!!!!
Cute couple in Central Park!

I loved catching these two in a moment! I know, I know, I hope they’re okay with having a picture online! If they’re not I can take it down…but I thought it was very cute and I love to catch people in moments of true love and honesty…it always seems to tell a wonderful story. 🙂
